Default Purple Glass

This is such an interesting thread! I LOVE anything purple and they are my most used color. That said, where do I buy Damson? I've never seen this color and I buy through several sites, so please don't tell me I missed a great test color that is no longer being made. I would appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction.

Is that the Famous Purple? I've bought that one, haven't had a chance to use it yet.

Eileen, are you coming to the Spring Fling Saturday? If so, I can bring you a few rods of some Reichenbach and Kugler purples. I might even have some ASK purples around.

Shawnette, thank you, but I'm probably not going to be there. I'm taking a class from Ron Bearer the following Saturday, don't know if I want to drive that far 2 weeks in a row. You sure are sweet to offer though, thank you so much!

I still haven't made the bead, but I've enjoyed reading back through here. I did order some of the purples, now to see which ones!
Thank you to everyone who put in a suggestion, and extra cookies to those who posted pictures!

Eileen, to you have Reich. R-166-C Opaline Pink? I don't see pink but it's a lovely shade of opaque purple.

I will check. I did just get a few colors from them, but haven't been home enough to spend much time with my glass since then so I forget. It seems like one of them said pink, but looks purple instead.

If there are some Reich colors you were lusting after (I'm sure there are), they're having a 25% off sale right now that is only 1 week long.

I like CiM Eggplant encased in Ink Blue. It's really dark though.

A well-known lampworker used the most beautiful purple I had ever seen on a set of beads. When I asked her what glass it was she said she didn't remember. YEAH, RIGHT! LOL, I guess I'll never know.
