Default Leaf stuck to marver, how to remove?

So a few months ago I was playing with silver leaf, and I dampened my marver a little too enthusiastically I guess, because I have a piece that appears burnished or burned on there. It is my torch top marver, so I'd love to get it off but don't want to ruin the thing.
If I get some very fine grade sandpaper, will that ruin the graphite surface?
Is there anything better to take it off? (It's like 1/2 inch piece)
Would I be smarter to just leave it on there?

Hot glass won't pull it up if it is burnished on there really well.

A green scouring pad is what I would try.

Yep, I've tried the hot glass several times, it's way to burnished on and gets more so every time I try.

I did the same thing only I was too lazy to do anything about it. Eventually, it wore off

I did the same thing not too long ago. Good to know hot glass doesn't take it off. That's really all I was concerned about. Guess I'm happy with it on there then.

I have a residue of mica powder in some of my bead rollers. Doesn't seem to affect how they work. Washing them did nothing so I'm not going to worry about it and I wouldn't worry about the silver.

000 steel wool is equal to 360-400 grit paper or the maroon scotch brite pads

I have 0000 steel wool, and also some really really fine grain sandpaper I bought to do my headlights on the car, then traded in the car so never used.

If you can find the 0000 brass wool it won't disintegrate while you are working with it like the 0000 steel does. Which ever you use I would suggest you pull off a piece and roll it so that you effect only the spot you want to remove the silver from. Go light even though it might take an extra little bit of time to remove the silver so that you don't reshape your marver. But as others have said, if you aren't able to remove it with hot glass you probably don't need to bother it.

I was out there yesterday, and noticed it was gone! This is after several sessions on the torch where it wouldn't budge.
I'm not sure if it went into a bead without me noticing, but I don't think so.
I had another marver sitting on top of that one for my least session, so it may have been the friction of the two together sanded it off, it's a mystery.

I used a wet paper towel and scrubbed it up...

speaking of wet paper towels... I wet, ring out well, and fold up a paper towel. I pick up my leaf with that, it doesnt fly away, and then pick up the leaf from the paper towel with the hot glass. works like a champ
