Red face rotation

hello , in what direction is your rotate ?you turn toward you or in front of you? you use your left hand to hold the big rod ? ( in borosilacate work )

All of the above.

When I'm adding glass, I hold the rod in my left hand and rotate away from me (my thumb is going up when I rotate). When I'm melting stuff in, I hold it in my right hand and rotate towards me.
