Smile Help with batch annealing please!

Hi,

Would anyone be able to refer me to a kiln firing schedule for batch annealing effete glass beads please?

Also what would you say is the best way to place them in the kiln on mandrels or just on the floor of the kiln? Does it matter if they are touching or are on top of each other?

My kiln is paragon SC.

Thank you

Hi, it does not matter if they are touching. I used to pile mine up on top of a ceramic blanket just to make sure everything stayed put. depends on the room you have, you could also stack them on mandrels and lay along the floor or each other.
I don't have the schedule to hand but basically the same schedule. You would just want to ramp up slowly, and maybe give them a good soak first, especially if you have a few.
Perhaps someone else has, there are also old threads here you can find on this topic, that might have that info.
Good luck & welcome!
