We have a marine battery too but it is HEAVY!!! A bit of a disincentive to use it but without lighting people just can't see the glass....so it has come in handy when we don't have power. We also use it when our power at home goes out - which has been happening quite a bit with the storms we've been having in Western WA. I think we paid $800 for it.

I think you must have one of those super-sized marine batteries. They had bigger ones in stock, but I decided against it because of the cost and additional weight.
