Default I need glasses for boro

Can anyone point me to a good, economical pair of glasses for working boro?

Thanks!

Sigrid

If you have didymium or AUR-92/ACE filters already, get a pair of welders clip on's. They run between $20 and $40 a pair. Replace them every 6 months.

hmmm.. that sounds right up my alley. I don't know if boro is going to "stick", so it would be nice to have something not so expensive to start. Are there different types of welders clip ons? If I ask the local national welders for "welders clip ons" for glasses, will they know what I am talking about?

I need eyes too. I've been working my boro over the flame to keep the glare down, but I wish someone would send me a pair of clip-ons for my Arrow Springs economy dydimiums. Or at least link me to a pair I could buy myself for 20 bucks. I'm broke right now (thanks to mandatory spending season)but I can afford $20.00 to keep my eyes healthy for a short term solution

I need to save up for the big boy glasses.

Bunyip, you big dumb manflower. Don't take chances with your "eye"balls. Get your hairy butt to a welding shop and get some shades!!!! With love, Lori.

AYE AYE SIR!!

Seriously, I've made 10 boro beads, all mostly clear. I should have a pair of shades on the way as of this morning however. Thanks for your concern! I'm trying to avoid the boro until they arrive I promise. It's just so tempting the DAP is calling me.....

I bought the $18.00 shade 5 clip-on at Generations Glass.

Hopefully the protection is sufficient. And hopefully they get here soon!

Bunyip, sorry I had to get tough with you. Even rugged man flowers need proper protection. Stay sweet. Lori
