Kerry, that's a great idea! I'm going to start doing that for blacks too.

Where'd you find the jumbo straws? I did a search and found 1/2" ones...are those what you use?
I had to special order the ice cube trays a few months back, because the Walmart here didn't carry them. I have a feeling the straws might be the same situation. Crossing my fingers I can get them from Amazon, 'cause man...that'd help my stringer situation tons

Loving your stringer storage solutions.
Do you ladies have any trouble with the stringer snapping in those tubes? I always have to pull my stringer to 12 inch or less lengths or else I have a lot of trouble with them breaking

Jenne, I found the jumbo straws at random grocery stores. Far and few between.
Heather, I am always breaking them. But I am a documented cults.

Like many people, I use round plastic tubing to store my glass. The way the tubes sit on each other, there is a small empty space right next to each tube. I put the stringer for each colour of glass rod in the empty space right next to the storage tube. That way I know exactly where the stringers are for each colour.
Beats labeling the stringers!
