Nikon P80
I bought one and am learning to use it. I wanted something that I did not have to buy more lens. So far, the only deficit is that I cannot attach a remote button to it.
Anyone have any experience with one yet.?

I cannot figure out how I might connect a remote to the P80. I will go look at the MC-DC1. Only possibility is the audio-out connection (USB)

Doesn't the P80 have infrared remote capability?

if you're just wanting the camera to be steady, you can use the self timer.

Directly from this NIKON page.....
http://www.nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Ni...page?pid=25412
Under the "tech Specs" tab...
Looking at plug, I'd say it plugs into the (mini B) USB connector........

Oh no........ Its the P80 you are looking for a remote for... I was thinking it was D80 for some silly reason.... Maybe it was because I was looking at D80 and misread what you have typed...
Now I am afraid I've given you false hopes.... I so sorry....
Dale

I will let you know if the MC-DC1 works. It looks like it has the same connector as the AC adapter for the P80.
