If you go to the yahoo group - there in the list of choices by files and such is a choice for database - does that make sense? LOL

*I* found it so I know it can't be hidden too well... lol

Hey all...I've been in Colorado for Spring Break & decided to stay another week (sent family home!!) & am trying to catch up to what is going on in the Yahoo Group, etc. I'm finding it really hard to keep track of all of the different workshops that are being held as it looks like there are others people are talking about that aren't listed in the file yet. (also... is Kimberly offering her Viking Knit class again?? It's still listed in the file but dated 2007........GREAT CLASS!!)

I like Stacy's idea of the database... just wondering if instead of "class 1", "class 2", etc... the column headings can be changed to specific classes so we know what exactly is being offered & make it much easier to see/track who has signed up for what class as we look down that specific column. As it stands right now, it's going to get messy as more people sign up on the database. Make sense??? As an example...say the columns are (1) Bead Bending, (2) Chainmaille, (3) Kumihimo Demo, (4) Macrame, (5) PMC Ring, (6) Retro Bead Lining, (7) etc.......... & I only want to sign up for a few... then I'll only list myself in those specific columns & the ones I don't want to sign up for will be blank on my row in the database. I think it would be cleaner all the way around & that way the teachers don't have to sort through the database to see who is taking their class either!

Now to go figure out the bulk buys!!

That would make things easier as I don't quite know what classes are happening and what are not!

I just got an email back from Sundance...I'm annoyed to say the least. For now, I decided to hold my tongue and send the email that I really want to send. The price they are quoting me is $8 more PER POUND than what the website says. I am going to search around and see what else I can find out while I am waiting for a response to the nice and tame email I sent.

I've got a call into another supplier about the mandrels. He is checking on stock, and will get back with me on pricing. Their pricing is less than what Sundance charges, so lets cross fingers!

I have updated the spreadsheet to show everyone that I have down for
mandrels. Here is a list just in case any one has problems accessing
the sheet again:

This is for the 5/64" mandrels, 12" length:

Karla 1
Lynn 1
Melissa 1
Jeannette 1
Kimberly 1
Serena 1
Sharon 1
Becky 1
Tracy 1
Bobbi 1
Dinah 1
Kelly M 1
Deb C 1
Stacy 1
Linda 1
Dianna 1
Nori 1

If you would like mandrels and you are not on my list, please let me
know. If you would like to update your quantity, please let me know.

I can start taking PayPal if you are ready to pay. I would like to have the order placed as quickly as possible, to try and avoid any potential shortages or mishaps that would prevent them from being delivered in time. Once I receive them, time permitting, I will divide all the mandrels up into 1 lb bundles. I will be ordering a pound or two extra, so if any one misses out on the buy, or decides they would like more, that is an possibility. I will bring mandrels to the retreat for everyone.

Please send $25 to nessabeads (at) sbcglobal (dot) net (or v_lee214 (at) sbcglobal (dot) net - both emails are
on my account). The additional amount will be to cover PayPal fees and shipping
to my address. If you would prefer I send an invoice, let me know by PM or email, what email you would like it sent to.

The ends are non-ground, same as original supplier. I do have a bench
grinder, and if I get a chance, I can try to grind some of the
ends...but...that's a LOT of mandrels to try and grind!!

There are appoximately 116 mandrels in 2 lbs. My brain does not want to divide that in half right now...

Oh, and Dianna -- do you want me to get the wire and endcaps and stuff for you for the Viking Knit? Or do you have what you need?

Hey, I went with 80 the first time I saw that number too.

Ummm, I have nothing for the class. So, I guess I need wire and caps. Sorry, I'm totally behind lately.

Sharon,
I think I need to review your maps for you before you leave town! Bring 'em to Becky's house on 4/13 for the SLLS meeting, and we'll ALL look at 'em for you!
