Magnetic storage
Just thought you would like to see how I am storing my tools. I used to have to reach dangerously close to the flame, not any more, this is on my right side. I love it, everything is right where I can see it. I used 2 of them for this storage. Where do all those tools come from anyway?
I ran across these magnetic bars at Harbor Freight, they are 18 inches long and are on sale for $4.99.

They work so well I bought some for my jewelry making tools and my stained glass tools and pliers.

I use something similar, but I got mine at Ikea. Very convenient.

My son made this for me using the magnetic strips.
Magnetic strips are very useful, aren't they.

I bought one of the strips at HF and my problem was remembering to put the tools back on it instead of just putting them down on my table, in a growing jumble pile!
I'm moving my tables, etc, around in the studio, and maybe I can find a better place for them so I use them & return them.

I use magnetic bars for my glass tools in my studio as well.
I don't recommend them for jewelry making though. I had them in my jewelry studio & they end up with all your little bits of wire & findings sticking to them. Very frustrating to have to keep cleaning them off.

Our local Chipotle has all of their huge knives on magnetic strips where everyone can see them. I think they are inviting trouble...but love the magnet strips in the studio...
