Default Indian Jewelers Supply-Silver Tubing

I've always purchased my Silver Tubing through IJS.

Part number STTB27x5
OD 5.08
ID 4.37

27 gauge

There website is gone and I called the 1-800 number. You get a recording saying they have filed for bankruptcy.

Any ideas on where to get tubing with the same dimensions?

Beth

Rio has one that is similar. Larger OD and smaller ID. It also says it is Hard and doesn't list the gauge.

Does anyone know if this one will work? Will I have to anneal it?

Hayley Tsang posted that she got another vendor to start carrying that size. Maybe someone saved the post from the bathroom?

I just found a source and ordered.

Silversupplies.com .200 Tubing 5.08 OD/4.37 ID

Perfect. It comes in 20" lengths. If you put in the note box that it's okay to cut into 10" lengths they can ship it in a flat rate box.

Silver Supplies prices are a little higher than the source I worked with in getting the exact same tubing. About $40 for 1 toz (about two 12-in tubings) vs Santa Fe's less than $31. The only caveat is that Santa Fe just ordered this so is taking pre-order with a 3-week lead time. It will then carry some as stock as soon as the first order arrives.

This was what I posted:

---------

With Indian Jewelry Supply being out of business, I have worked with the nice people at Santa Fe Jewelry Supply to offer the same 5.08mm OD / 4.37mm ID / 27 gauge sterling silver tubing!

It has a lead time of 4 weeks and they are taking pre order right now for the first batch! It's not on its website yet so you need to contact them – stock #118205. Give them a call:

https://www.sfjssantafe.com/

And got this additional info recently:
Take today's sterling silver market price and add the fabrication surcharge for the quantity you are purchasing. Each tubing weighs about 0.536 toz so you get almost two tubings per toz:
< 5 Toz add $14.15 (e.g. today SS is $16.74 so up to 5 toz is $30.89)
5+ Toz add $13.65
10+ Toz add $13.25
25+ Toz add $12.95
50+ Toz add $12.70
100+ Toz add $12.50

Thanks for the information. For my next order I will check with Sante Fe. I thought Silver Supplies was higher than what I had been paying with IJS but it was in stock and it shipped the same day I ordered it. I had it in just a matter of a few days.

It's used to core (line) big hole beads.
