Ivory glass?????
As much as they try my soft glass buddies can't pull me away from my Boro.
But there is a color that my friend works with that work up really nice and I can't find anything in the Boro family that's close. I love the way the Ivory looks in the soft glass, any ideas.
Thanks
Sue

Try Momka's yellow pearl, very nice creamy color, not same as soft ivory but very nice and easy to work with.

If you can find any, there was a Northstar experimental a couple years ago of something called Bone Marrow. It's like 104 dark ivory silver fumed with no fuming involved. Long shot, but that's all I got.

I've had Silver Strike 5 look kind of like it. I know it was encased but not sure about the torch atmosphere. I don't think Cloud or Yellow Pearl are like Ivory, although I love the colors and use them often.
Here is a link for the SS-5 beads:

I was looking for the same type of color over the weekend and what I did was mix NS butterscotch with NS white and it worked great. just add a little butterscotch at a time till you get the color your looking for.

I'd say the silver in the butterscotch got onto the white and made it a little yellow - or did you actually mix an inch of butterscotch with an inch of white?
I made an eye a while ago. I used Asian White for the white of the eye and surrounded it with NS Silver Pearl. Working the Silver Pearl I got silver fume on the eyewhite and I didn't burn it off. It's a much more natural look; if I saw someone with an eye like that I'd tell them to try some eyedrops and a good night's sleep.

I mixed it together but after it came out of the kiln it was not as dark as when I mixed it, But I did have a very long work time in the flame. I might have burned out most of the butterscotch strike i had before i worked the piece.
But it definitely was not white any more and more a cream / light ivory look to it.
