This workshop is for the intermediate to advanced beadmaker who wants to enhance their understanding of layering colors and techniques from ancient times . Tom will facilitate the deepening of participants command of complexity in design creating more intricate and hence more unique pattens and shapes by following a list of skill building examples from the history of Glass Beadmaking. Tom will concentrate on fine stringer control, layouts for furthering feathering skills, complex dot patternings and maskings and multi layered stratifications, Folded Beads, Geometric murrini, Bent Beads, Life Rings and off mandrel pendants. This class will offer the participant techniques for honing in on controlling the high level detailing for embellishing the surface designs on their beads as well as new and unusual shaping methods.
