Default Champion vs Mirage | vs Delta Elite

Me and my friend are starting a small grass roots studio up in Sweden. Our focus will be mainly on functional glass and we are very interested in scientific water pipes.

For now there is no money for a lathe, we will buy one from china later (I've seen quotas for around 3000USD).

Right now I'm trying to decide what torch to pick for our work. Without the lathe, I assume that we will be making small pieces like bubblers, ash catchers spoons and some random art. All of this will be in boro, thats why I'm here.

I think that both the Champion and Mirage would be able to do the bubblers and ash catchers, which one do you think is the best? I don't think they would be viable for full tubes and that is why I was thinking of the Delta Elite. Any ideas or thoughts? I'm leaning to the delta elite but if there is no real gain but comfort my first torch will most likely be a Mirage (600$ cheaper than DE) if someone doesn't care to enlighten me.

We plan to be running tanked o2 in the beginning and then when we can afford it I assume we will switch to cons.

Thanks in advance.

You'd probably get more responses on www.talkglass.com. They're mostly pipe makers and a lot of them use these torches. I would go with the Mirage. Very good all around from very small pin point to two inch tubing(when I do some tube work) . Great for large solid rod up to one and a half inch.
