Default First jellyfish Pendants (thanks Dave)

These are my first attempts at jellyfish pendants using a little tutorial from Dave (dlando1) from left to right in order I like the first try best. I have some more ideas I want to try modifying the process a bit and I think I am also going to try some building up a cane to plunge (like a mushroom) and see how I like that look. Having fun with this....Thanks a bunch Dave

Thanks these are fun and don't take forever to do but I have to do better at starting and keeping my implosion centered so that the last bit of color to be covered by the loop is in the center of the top. I keep lettin it get wonky

Joan, if you PM him he will email it to you (dlando1)
Suzanne, you should post your pictures if you are having some issues maybe someone could suggest what the problem might be. If you haven't done a lot of implosion type stuff I think it would be pretty challenging but once you know how implosions work it gets easier.

I am with the embarrassed group. Daves instruction were awesome but I can't seem to get the head right. Not sure if maybe I am holding in the heat wrong or what. I am just getting a blob instead of that nice umbrella look.

I'll post when I'm not embarrassed. My first ones look nothing like chrisann's. Not Daves fault, I need more PPP. The tut was great.

Is there a charge for the tut? If so how much? I did several searches and could not find any info on it. Where did you all hear of it, the tutorial that is?
Tnx

I agree with you - I just interpret the saying different. To me, it's an invitation to find the silver lining in unanticipated situations, rather than give up (ie: going wrong).

I interpret it the same way but thought I'd put a spin on it.

Nice job Chrisann! I was wondering why I got 21 tut requests today. As far as getting the glass to flow over the "Head" of the jellyfish, take a look at step 7 of the tut. If you angle the rod to allow the heat to be at the base of the pendant(where the bubbles are) you can thicken this area. When you add the twisty, this extra glass can flow back down and over the twisty giving it a little space. Hope that helps. I'm looking forward to seeing some more!

Mine haven't been coming out too well either but I took another look at the tut and I've been putting the twisty around the edge of the maria instead of around the ring of dots so I have to implode way too much to get the head part and by the time I'm done the dome closes on the side instead of the top. I'm on the edge of a break through though, LOL
