Default Beads are really dark after they cool

Hello,
I am fairly new on the glass bead work. I do have a good setup. Propane and Oxy. and I am using both a fiber blanket and a Kiln. I used to go down to my local bead shop and buy my glass from her. Time change and the store is gone. I never had any issues with the glass when I bought it from her. I am just making simple 2 or 3 color beads. I just bought Devardi Glass COE 90 5-6 mm rods. When I do any color mixing the beads go very dark. So when i use a very light blue or green after they cool they are so dark you cant really see the colors. What the heck am I doing wrong? I have never had this problem. Could it be the glass?

Any advice would be great.

Thank you !

What colors are you mixing?

The copper in greens doesn't play well with the sulfur colors (like yellow) for example, and if you use one on the other you get a dark line, so mixing might just make them turn dark I would think.
