Default Want to try some new powders...

So I love the organic look you can get with powders but have only tried Z99 and Raku so far. Any recommendations for powders you like and/or suppliers? Thanks!!!

Well, to the best of my knowledge, powder only comes in one size.

You might also do a search on Etsy for lampwork powder.

Thanks Elizabeth! Any suggestions on colors you particularly like for organics?

One thing you can try with the powders that will give you more choice with a limited outlay upfront is to mix your own colors by combining the powder colors. You can use clear mixed with a dark color to lighten it, for instance. As far as colors to choose you could start with colors you already like.

I pretty much stay away from powders because I don't like wearing a respirator. And I don't make too many organic beads although right now I am having a love affair with encased silvered stringer. (Silvered copper green and silvered red copper green are yummy encased.)

I know some people like Mountain Blue and Blue Grass Green powders (if you can find them).

Don't forget to encase the silvered red copper green. It is dreamy.

The vines in this bead are an example. Just to be clear, I make a gather of RCG, silver it, encase it, and pull it into stringer which I use for vines.

Lovely bead Elizabeth. The vine color makes the red/green color scheme of the flower and background an all season look instead of making you think just holiday season. Do you have more images of it that show the murrini? Those colors would make a lovely set for a bracelet.

Thanks Andrea. The flower is really an orange red and there are more views of it in my etsy shop. It's a big bead though, too big for a bracelet.
