Default Moretti Agate & Silver colors

Why is it that glass web sites show a sample of glass made into a flat circle & when I make it, it's not at all that color? I just bought Moretti silver and Moss Agate. The colors are so pretty--when you look at them in the sun, otherwise they're just too dark to see inside. How do you make a bead so that it will show the colors better?

I'm in the same boat with the moss agate, if anyone knows how to make the green spots appear I'd love to hear the secret.

LOL I sent my Moss Agate to Eileen; hopefully she can get more out of it than the muddy black that I did.

Looking back through old threads I found a set from Carolyn M make with turquoise it looked like, so I'm going to try at least one using that combo.
