Default today is Connor's Surgery

Hi Folks,

Remember Tamara who wrote to us about her son Connor with the 5 heart defects? He is in the BOC program, and she restrings his beads as he is having surgeries etc done... well today is the day he is having a whopper of a surgery done on his little 2 year old heart... so please pray, send white light, positive energy, love.... whatever you have in thier direction today, and over the next couple of weeks as he heals.

Candice

Sending prayers for Conner. May the Angels watch over him and guide his surgeon's hands.

I've checked in with Tamara but have not heard anything back yet. I know that we're all concerned but as Candice points out, it may take a little time before she has time to respond. Holding a good thought here.

Success!!!
Posted Mar 9, 2010 4:01pm
Just met with Dr. Heinle a few minutes ago. They are done, he is closed, heart restarted with no problems, they did an extra cardiac Fontan, with no fenestration. So far everything looks wonderful and he is happy with the surgeries.

He sais they removed lots of muscle from that was closing the VSD, and he's hoping it won't grow back, but says that Dr. Rivenes needs to keep a close eye on it.

We haven't been able to see him yet, but should be able to in about an hour or so. He isn't extubated yet, but they are about to attempt that.

Thanks for checking in, I'll try to update more later.

Tamara
