Toolbox Annealer Thermocouple
Any one know the type to buy mine finally gave up the ghost and I want to replace - I love having this as my spare and now that I have my studio up and running need it to function as well

Everything about replacing but nothing about where to buy ....
I have reprogrammed - talked to fuji but nothing
maybe someone else has replaced theirs or could suggest somewhere to call

The red and yellow thermocouple wires means it is a Type K thermocouple. Omega.com or ebay would be a good start.
You might email Don and ask if could sell you one. I bet he has a boatload of them in his garage.

Dale now that your brought that up - I have a spare for my big two door annealer from Glasshive
do I have to put same back in or just a K type as long as it can handle up to 1200 F ?
I think I'm putting too much into having the "exact" same
I would think if type K and has red and yellow leads and able to protrude into the killn should be ok to register the temp
Fuji was having me put a paperclip on the #2 an #5 pin to see if it would read ambiant temp (let me tell you I know more about this controller than I really want too)

All "K" type thermocouple are supposedly manufactured to same specification....
IF there was a "K" type thermal couple in kiln before, ** Any** "K" type (supposedly) should be able to replace existing one........
Only thing one may find different is way wires are shielded or insulated...

The paper clip test they wanted you to do is to test if the thermocouple is really the culprit or not. IF its still reading an error with the paper clip acting like a thermocouple then the problem is in the controller it s self. If it reads any were near close to room temp then it is the Tc. Thats bad or has a break in it some were.
If your having trouble finding a type K thermocouple for your kiln. I can make you one for what ever your requirements would be. I weld my own right on the premises.
I would just need to know how long to make the leads to reach the controller. and how long you need the working end that goes in to the inside of the firing chamber of the kiln.

Sorry for not getting back to everyone
things got hectic and I forgot about my need (too darn cold in canada to sit in my studio ) I banned myself to the basement with my favorite mailbox kiln from Glasshive
now the weather is warming up I want to get all my kilns going
So I am off to figure out what I need - going to pull the sucker and check it out this weekend now that shows are over
I think it was all UUUUU's
I still want to get extra couple incase my glasshive kilns go down - they are pretty simple to replace I've only had to do one in 10 years with the mailbox and none with the double door and let me tell you - the mailbox gets a good workout
