Default Temperature controller

I have on old kiln, I think it is a dental burn out kiln, which works great. It currently has an Afinity controller on it. I want to upgrade to a digital controller. I found this one on E-bay.

Would this work? The listed cost is $100.00.

You'd need to wire it up in a box with a relay, thermocouple, power cords, switches, and all the wiring. There's a tutorial over on Wet Canvas by Mark Wilson. If you're handy with electronics, you can probably do well. Mark posts here on LE as well; he's a good resource.

Like Diane said this isn't a plug and play item and you need to gather the right parts and build it

its real hit and miss with that timberwalk place that sells on ebay. If you win any thing for less then they have the same item for with a buy it now price. they will cancel or forget about the order or tell you they can't fill the order yet will if you buy the very same thng for more money on one of there other auctions. WItch is pretty weird to say the least.

Also not much help from them if you need any help with it after buying it.

I sell just the bare controllers that I use in my already made plug and play kiln controllers and the ssr relays. just the controllers I have have bigger display on them and only hold 30 steps instead of 64 like the one from ebay.

THe ones I have are just like these ones here. From aubrins. http://cgi.ebay.com/PID-TEMPERATURE-...%3D9%26ps%3D63
Auberins is a good place to go on ebay he's a good guy.

But instead of being $89 plus shipping I sell mine for $89 with free shipping and a relay is an additional $22 for a 50 amp relay.

I sort of hate plugging my self, BUT if I can help some one out and save them some grief I don't mind so much.
