Free Tutorial: Applying (Butterfly) Murrini
Hey everyone,
I've finally finished up enough butterfly murrini to start selling again, so I've put together a quick video of how to include murrini in beads without smearing the pattern. I make two clear beads with a single butterfly each:
And here is what it looks like in a basic encased floral:
You can see the tutorial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDuDL4kLF_8
My hands are a little shaky since I had a tripod in the way but I think the video turned out ok:
There is no sound, but I provide a detailed description of the steps via subtitles. Let me know what you think of the tutorial.
If you are interested in buying murrini I am selling butterflies in the garage sale for a short while. All the murrini in the photos and video are from the same pulls as the murrini I have for sale. The thread is here: http://lampworketc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3147009
Thanks,
Ryan

Great video. Thank you so much for sharing. I don't want to tell you how many butterflies I've smeared or lost!! LOL. I can't wait to try it again using your video. Thank you again.

Uh oh! I can't wait to see the video, but where are you selling the murrini?! I've gotten some before and have patiently been waiting for more!
Ok, nevermind...off to the garage sale to see if any are left!

Thanks Ryan. I appreciate the video as I've been saving the murrini that I purchased from you because I didn't want to ruin it! Now I know how to use it properly! You rock!
Thanks so much,

Beautiful. The video gave me the confidence to order some. I'll have to watch it a few more times before I consider actually using it. Thanks!

Took Ryan's Butterfly Murrini Class Last Weekend
What a great experience. You really have a good teaching style. If anyone gets a chance ... you should try and take a class with Ryan. The weekend is finally here and I am about to test out my learnings from last weekend. I will let you know how my Butterfly Murrini turns out (keep your fingers crossed, I don't turn out a handful of frit ... my skills at murrini-making don't quite match Ryan's)!
