Default Cabachon help

Hi All, I'm interested in making glass cabachons, anyone got any tips on how this is best achieved. I use a HH and soft glass. My attempts so far are just OK, but not fantastic. All help greatly appreciated

I really though glass cabochons were made by slumping/melting the glass "layup" in a kiln... But then my only experience with cabochons were using lapidary tools (grinding /polishing wheels) to make them out of stone slab...

If you want to make a cabachon using a mandrel Inspiration Toolworks has the mandrel. They take a bit of practice to get right but they work quite well.
