Why do I struggle so?
I have taken 1 class with them it was taught on a hothead. She told us we had one chance to blow, that we couldn't reheat them and try again. Mine all ended up looking like warped pears. I tried at home with my old hothead and gave up.
Until last year when they were on SALE. so I bought a whole CASE. as well as a variety of frit to use with them. (I love a good sale) I watched a few videos, and Shawnettes was the best. I tried with my bobcat; that didn't go so well either. I was assuming it was because I couldn't get a bushy enough flame. (I'm using natural gas and an Oxycon)
Now I'm wondering if I try my National with tanked propane and tanked oxy would I do better? or tanked both on my bobcat? Or am I just too impatient?
I signed up for another class this year (different instructor, and taught on a minor) but not enough people signed up so it was cancelled.
