I have had my copy for over a week now, but only managed to look at it closely yesterday - wow was I glad I spent the $50, even if it was just before Christmas and in a few minutes I'm firing up my torch - New Years hangover and all

I had pre-purchased Kim's color archive and eagerly anticipated the release. That afternoon I was totally consumed pausing only to comment, "Wow, she used that glass in those!" and "Dang, why didn't I think to put those glasses together!". Plus I had to pause to wipe the drool off my screen. About 3/4 through the archive I totally OD'd on glassy goodness and had to stop! I couldn't believe how many different beads she had included!! Of course I later went back and finished, but I was on serious sensory overload. The color archive is sure to be something I refer back to frequently! Plus I really appreciate Kim's working and color substitution tips!!

I have to say this is the best collection of bead porn I've seen in a long time!

It is truly a feast for the eyes and the imagination. Kim did a wonderful job in putting all this information together along with alternate suggestions for glass that's no longer being made. It's not a tutorial, but a fabulous collection of Kim's beads over the past ten years and every picture is scrumptious! The colors just pop off the page and the details and designs are great inspiration for any bead maker. I highly recommend!!

Cheers
Kathy

I love it! Just for the pictures alone I would have spent the 60 bucks. Her pictures are to die for, and the best part is... she tells what colors she used! Everytime I look at Kim's beads I wonder how the heck did she do that... what's the magic word she uses

It's also one of the first tutorials I decided to print out, well worth every penny

The color archive to me is like having a beautiful coffee table book, that is actually useful! It is inspiring, for me, because there are many colors that I have never used, but would like to now. One in particular, that has been unavailable but Kim h as told were to get it! I have purchased now, all but one of the Tutorials, and now this Archive and I am very satisfied.

I just ordered a spiral bound copy from Lulu.com. It was $37.40 plus shipping. I almost spent the extra $10 or so to make it hard-bound, but decided it might be easier to use and keep open as a spiral bound book. I splurged for quicker shipping, since I saved money by preordering! Now I-Just-CAN'T-WAIT!!!!!

One of the things that this archive is also inspiring me to do is KEEP NOTES! I sit down and just play with colors a lot, and if I do have a combination that is interesting, well, can't ever really tell just what it was. I resolve to write it down this year!

Okay, you guys are killing me!!

I purchased Kim's Color Archive just before Christmas. I'm a relative newbie in the forum and haven't learned to stalk Kim yet I read her description, knew what I was purchasing and plunked down the $60 with a gulp.

I am SO glad that I did! In the first few moments after downloading I found each page full of something I'd like to try and look, she tells me what glass she used! How generous! Haven't even got to the back of the file yet!

The reason ya'll are killin' me is right after purchase I backed up the computer and then took it in for repair. It's been back from one repair and then immediately shipped out for another and I still don't have my main laptop!!

Kim bless you for two downloads. I just downloaded the 2nd download to my 'older' laptop and can again begin to drool, scheme, speculate and be totally inspired by your work and your generosity in sharing. Also great ideas for taking pictures AND keeping notes, so I can refer back to my color attempts in the future.

Sorry I spent $60? Absolutely not! I plan on toting one of my laptops to the studio to refer to when I need some ideas.

"Inspirational", "Bead porn", "..rock your world..." ALL of these descriptions apply to this beautiful color archive!

Thanks Kim!!

Thumbs up A work of Art, Heart and Soul!!! Kim's Tut is Awesome

I usually like a book form for everything, so was initially hesitant about this. It is a true work of art. The photo's are gorgeous, and it is clear that the work that Kim put into this is enormous. I love the "recipe" approach to color combining, and the infinite array of ideas that Kim shares. Worth every penny of the price.

I take that back...I read through the technical advice in the back and the Reichenbach glass is 96coe.But Kim does a very good job of explaining the best way to use it with 104.

It's one of a kind! It's a refreshingly new and different way of providing information on lamp working. As it doesn't need masses of text, it allows room for lots and lots of high quality photos showing inspirational colour combos and designs.
It's nice as a coffee table book, if you print it out. It's very valuable as a teaching manual.
I was a bit hesitant at the $60 but it's worth it!!
It's interesting to see the way the designs have evolved over the years too!!
Congratulations Kim!

Oh man, Kim's Color Archive tutorial is . . . um . . . let's see, oh yeah, AWESOME!!! I bought the whole enchilada, so it's over 150 pages of beautiful pictures, endless inspiration, and like someone else said, just enough text to give you the "gotta know" info.

I'm so happy I got one

I bought it and find it amazing. I have been using her color description and making my own style beads. Being able to see what any given color combination can be is great. What a fun way to get re-inspired in this wonderful medium. I agree with all the others that called it "Bead Porn", it is definately eye candy. Barb

Ok, I got my book today, and it is pretty nice. I wish the pages were glossy, but ohhh well. It looks like a year book. The quality is good, but not GREAT. (talking about the physical book, not Kim's archive) I know Kim's pictures are nice and sharp, but they came out a tiny bit pixilated in the book I ordered.. but not bad. If Kim gives permission I'll take a picture or two and post, but I won't do it with out her permission. Over all, I'd say it was a good buy, simply because I would have spent just as much doing it myself, and if wouldn't look this nice as a finished product.

What service did you use to have it printed? I was thinking of having it done but if the pics don't turn out I won't do it. Thanks

Went to Staples today and they quoted me 128.00 to print it...OUCH!
Guess I will just print out a page or two as I need them to take to my studio.
