A question for anyone who has been successful with this tutorial. My son likes doing implosions. He wanted a 'hot pink', so I ordered the tutorial here, thinking that it would be perfect. He made a cane following the instructions as closely as possible. I'm sure he missed something. After he pulled the cane, it became a dark reddish color. He decided to see if it would change once it was used in his flower. After it was annealed, it changed all right. His flower lookes like a 'steel magnolia'! Here is a picture of it. It actually has a more steely look to it, than what the camera portrays.

What you see of the implosion is the opposite order. The top color you see is the last color used normally.
So the color you reduce normally should be the first on the glass. This is not possible. So for getting shocking pink in a soft glass implosion, this tutorial is not helpful.

If you make an implosion in borosilicate it is possible. This is a first try I made some time ago.

Thanks Miriam! I kind of assumed that this techniqe might not work with this particular implosion style. Your borosilicate pendant is beautiful!

thanks so much for the tutorial Miriam. Here are a couple of my first beads. I'm thrilled with the color.

Thank you all so much!! It is so great to see your lovely comments and I am overwhelmed by all the support and coffees!!

Your bead is lovely Asimeral, beautiful color.

In the future I will make more free tutorials and will put them together with unpublished tutorials in a high quality printed book.

Thank you, Miriam.
I have to say, there was a 'skill' thing I hadn't thought of, either, regarding coverage to the ends when encasing without interference. Thank you!

The link in the email sends you to a Dutch website. There you have to click in the download button to start the download.

Please reply on your email if you can't get the tutorial. The tutorial is a personal gift and I don't want everyone sending the tutorial around.

Thanks Miriam. I will try it again. Is it the brownish "download" with the arrow that I click on? I've tried and nothing happens. I will try again. Thanks so much.

Yes, it is the brownish "download" button. Make sure you are on the original page and not a Google translate page.

I just checked and the link works perfectly. You have to allow your browser to download pdf files.
You could also right click on the "download" button and choose from the menu something like "Save file as".

Donna, LOVE your bracelet, it is WONDERFUL, not only in the use of the PINK (which I already love), but the entire design. It's just TERRIFIC!

Thank-you Andrea and anyone else who commented on my bracelet (well, not mine anyore, it's on it's way to OZ)! I need to re-visit this because those are the only beads I've made since I got the tut.
