Default What's up with #058 Ink Blue?

I'm in the process of labeling all of my rods and I found that I have 4 different #058s. Pale Ink Blue, Intense Dark Blue, Transparent Ink Blue, and Ink Blue Violet. What gives? Are they really that much different? I mean they look slightly different from each other.

They are all just varing shades of ink blue. It is not unusual for hand pulled colors to vary in die lots.

same thing that happens with the coral, and other colors as well.

There are 4 different colors of ink blue.... 3 of them are considered odd lots. They are:
Ink Blue 058
Pale Ink Blue 058P
Ink BlueViolet 058V
Ink Blue Violet Light - 058VL or Pale 058VP

They are all quite different. Ink Blue is well, blue. The ink blue violet is a gorgeous purple. If you hold them up to the light you can see the difference easily.

The Dark Intense Blue that you wrote about is not one of the Moretti 058 Ink Blues. It's Vetrofond 058 and very similar to Moretti 057. 057 was a Moretti odd and now it's in the regular line. Vetrofond 058 is still considered an odd.

Clear as mud? Hope this helps!

OOOH man PALE INK BLUE IS THE BEST!! I think I have like 1 short left. It was THE BEST for layering over white as the base for encased florals. Everytime I make a bead with it is sells for $12 easily and I could charge more.

Hey does anyone know where I can still buy pale ink blue???

Thanks
Leanne
