What settings do you use for beads? My photos suck.....and my editing in photoshop is WORSE!!!

I have mine set to manual.
Apeture=2.6
Quality=fine
White balance=fine
Metering=matrix

I shoot on a tripod, using the timer. No flash. Macro mode.
