Default Torchin' it Old School: SP and DSP question

Okay, I confess: I have ALWAYS been silver plum and dark silver plum challenged, and I want to change that -- especially as I was gifted with a whoppin' pile of it. However, the heyday of the info on both was a while back, and a search turns up more beads made WITH it than information on the best practices for bringing out the beautiful iridescent colours one can get with it.

Can any kind soul who remembers either refresh my memory on how to use this glass or point me toward the right threads / tuts / areas? Mille, mille grazie!

Thank you! though on that thread seeing advice to reduce AND use heavy 02. I tried working it like raku (faintly 02), heavier 02, and a flash or propane heavy .... we'll see what comes out of the kiln. Used shards I made from old handpulled cane of DSP. So far the very lightly o2--like raku-worked best, at least going in!

I know most folks side on the oxygen side, but I use a HH and that's not an option. Despite that, DSP and LSP LOVE my HH. Maybe it's just moody LOL

I'm of the school of thought DSP likes a reducing flame, so Alli it's not being moody. When I was on a HH the colors in DSP were so awesome, and everyone brings up amber's beads...she's on a HH so...

I worked it like raku back in the day to get the colors.

Never used light so no idea.

I only ever got colour out of the light DSP by using shards.
