Thumbs down Total Change In CIM Phoenix

I'm so bummed, I have a few production beads I have to pull from listing because Phoenix is just that different :/
It doesn't strike, just stays orange. Phoenix used to be a nice striking orange.
From their page, "An opaque that can be struck to a range of hues from peach to orange coral."
http://www.creationismessy.com/color.aspx?id=62

Not really anything more than a rant or heads up.
In the pic, top rod is the current batch.
Next rod is the previous batch, oranger but ok.
Last is how Phoenix is supposed to be.

Headpins, both using the same frit. Top ones are the new batch, bottom are the older batch. TOTALLY different.

Oh my.

All I have is a sympathetic 'bummer'. A really big bummer.

Whoops. Twice as much sympathy!

That is a true and serious bummer, frustrating as well.

Oh yuck!

Sunset and alleycat should still be striking? Perhaps those would work instead.

I would send an emal to CIM and let them know how that works out. They are said to be responsive to feedback.

Hope you can find something else, pretty beads!

Have you checked with the vendor? It might be possible they mixed up some glass. Batch variation is one thing, but reacting differently with the frit is another.

Oh no, that's not good .
Love Phoenix for it's color variations.
CIM Sunset is your best bet - it is pretty close to Phoenix, and strikes in a similar range of hues.

True Sunset is close, but Sunset is limited, I'm not making any production beads out of a limited color...which is ALL new messy glass :/

Alleycat doesn't strike for me, it's just orange like this...and it's not available anymore.
I need (and want) the big variation that Phoenix had, the creams, corals, oranges. If you see the photos on the link, one of which is mine, some of us show how versatile this glass was. Also, it used to be somewhat reactive, it is not anymore.

Artwhim no it's not a mistake, it's got those huge messy stickers and came in the messy tissue wrap, it's been going more orange every batch.

I have written to Kathy and Mike, will update if I hear anything.

~eta, Mike didn't even address it, but did answer my other question on another color I'm waiting on...sadly expected. That's another beef I have, he never addresses glass problems like this.
