Default New place to melt away!!

Hey folks..just wanted to share my new studio!! The first image is the detached building from my house. It is split in to two areas. one storage typical garage area. then an air conditioned area in the back half.

Second: My boxed up glass and tools minus the clear.
third. One view of the room
fourth. another view of the room
fifth. the studio with most of the stuff moved in! just need to button up some things like more light, ventilation, hoses through the wall, etc...

but i repainted it, but new carpet in, and refinished the countertop. stained my hood to match!!

I like your new setup. I like the way you shielded the light away from your torch. Was that on purpose??? Most want a lot of light on their subject. I can't seem to find my best setup................ Any input would be great.

oh..not at all...i just have not finished the lighting in the room. I want as much light as possible above my table. The more light..the easier it is on the eyes when you torch because the bright light makes your pupils smaller thus letting in less harmful UV/IR rays that might get through your boroshades. I have pretty sensitive eyes.

thanks cheng...it took several sanding belts to get down to the natural wood on that one. It was a learning experience for sure. I'm glad i did it.

Looks great Justin. I wish I had a space like that. I torch in the bay window of my kitchen. Makes people stare when they come into the house for the first time. lol

"Make my day"! I just had to add that. Studio envy here! It's really a nice set up you have there.

I'll bet I could make great beads if Josey Wales was watching me torch all the time...

Your studio looks great!
