I used to use the cream and then switched to the liquid. The liquid is much better and easier to use. The bead doesn't need to be dry or warm. I just take a piece of copper wire and string the bead on it then put the bead in the liquid for 10 mins. Some colors take longer, like Raku, but most pastel and transparent colors take 5 to 10 mins.

It's made of Ammonium Bifluoride and while you don't want to drink it, wear it or get it in your eyes, it's not going to kill you if you get it on your skin. Just wash it off immediately.

Please research Ammonium Bifluoride and Hydrofluoric acid (HF)


Water solutions (hydrofluoric acid) are a contact-poison with the potential for deep, initially painless burns, with later tissue death.

I had some left over white stuff after an etch, and I threw the beads into my vinegar/water tub that I soak my beads in before I ream. They were probably there over night. When I rinsed them off, they were clean.
