Default uranium borosilicate glass compatibility

Has anybody had a problem with the compatibility of uranium borosilicate glass? I am getting cracks with simax clear and Trautmann Kiwi.

We should have TAG Kiwi in stock. If so, I will have Donna encase it in both Simax and Schott to see if either/both crack. Any excuse to melt glass.

I have no idea about uranium glass, too $$$ for me, but I have read that the TAG candy colors like Pink Caddy and Kiwi have problems with encasement. I have had no problems at all with beads but don't use them except for surface work on anything else.

I guess I'm a big fat liar. I didn't even remember having problems with the candy colors. There's a good post by Jenny in here.
