Default Big Time Bead Shortage

Hi Folks,
The real skinny here is that we are seriously short of hand made artist beads in Tucson. Sometimes it is hard to keep up with all of the special events and such but in the end it's your priceless Act of Courage beads that are the soul of Beads of Courage and we're critically low on them. I'm putting in extra studio time to get a batch out for next week and I'd like to ask everyone who can to do the same. These go out directly to the kids in hospitals across the country who really, really depend on that extra boost from their beads to make it through some pretty tough times. I was just in Tucson last week and the Act of Courage box was almost empty. Let's fill that sucker up!
Thanks for all you do for Beads of Courage!
Robert

Richard...can you also tell me what "Store bought" beads you use on a daily basis? I have a fire mountain account and was hoping to get some of the beads I see in pictures. Any advice on what to get would be wonderful!

'Store bought' beads are used mainly in events where people make Strength Bracelets and such and we have a pretty good stock of those. Our critical need right now is for the hand-made glass beads of all sizes. We are seriously behind on the larger sizes but can use just about any size that come in.
Thanks much
Robert

Thanks everyone! We go through these beads at an alarming rate but they mean so much to the kids and families.

I've got 21 more now, hopefully I can get to 30 tomorrow. Is the need dire enough to mail the 30 or should I try to get 45 by Monday? (all over 1")

Robert, we packaged a pretty large box at Artmospherestudio Studio with the H3 folks. It should be there shortly. Laura

70 beads in the mail today, sorted by various sizes. These beads range from larger beads to smaller ones.

Is there still a shortage on these beads? I have some that need to be cleaned. I usually wait until I have a bunch of beads done and clean them all at once, then sor the beads. Cuts down on the messes I have to clean up! Have dremmel will sprinkle.

Considering how many children we have enrolled in our programs now it's safe to assume that we are chronically short of artist beads to give them. When I visited HQ back in February we were down to a couple of dozen Act of Courage beads in stock with orders for several hundred. I just sent a box out myself last week and am working on the next batch.
Thanks much!

OK I have 70 or so BOC beads in my mix. I'm headed out of town for work, so I'll pack the beads along with my handy dandy dremmel & supplies. Then spend an evening making a mess, while I watch Dancing with the Stars.

Once dry, I will pop in the mail.

Robert, I have a bunch of my own to go out as well. I also re-posted your notes to my website BOC page and Facebook to help try to push the message forward.
