Red face Need Help, Soon!!!!!!!

Hi friends,

I need help---my friends will attest to that.

I am demonstrating lampworking with a group of artist who work in other mediums....clay, metal,paper.....................

This will be outdoors; catered by a local restaurant;written up in newspaper...

I want to do a good job. please give me some suggestions.

Thankyou...

Ellen

try to discuss what your doing that relates in language to the other mediums, they are all the same for sculping, adding and removing, gravity and tooling, we just cant touch our medium. i watch and learn from clay artists all the time for building bodies and faces. if your doing beads then relate to how they can be incorporated into mixed media pieces, it will make more sense for them maybe.

Most artists relate to color....If you have read our inspiration challenges I think that an idea can be translated into many forms....each person will take the same idea and create a unique art form as they see it. Start there and then demonstrate for techniques and styles. Have samples they can touch too!

I totally agree with Ro. To me having done several mediums I find glass to be the swiss army knife of art. You can do it all you just have to figure out how to make the glass move the way you want it to with tools like she said since you can't touch it.
