Good point. I think I've mentioned I'm an idiot before.
I don't really have a good reason for liking the back the best, I just do.

LOL, you are not an idiot at all.
You are just being careful and there is nothing wrong with that.

I only wish I hadn't had a previous commitment for almost a year to be somewhere else this past weekend. A Con. I would have loved to watch the glassblowing. Angelique

I personally prefer GIMP for photo editing. For one thing, it's free. For another thing, obviously if I can do it it's pretty darned easy! Angelique

Elitist.
(and it's actually possible to edit photos in paint)
(for example, deleting a license plate)
(so there!)

Guilty as charged.
I also only own/use Macs, so I've never even used MS Paint.
Just jerking chains...

I met a real "fun guy" (wink, wink) about twenty minutes before shooting this video with my phone. Could be better, but I was working with a temporary handicap. You will most likely want to turn the volume down unless you like the way dubstep sounds when it's recorded on a phone. Pretty Lights was on stage.

We're going to be there next year Angelique. Buy the High Roller package when it first goes on sale. It's two nearly all access tickets for both days, a nice hotel room downtown, food, booze, and water for $750. Oh yeah, you get AC too. The same tickets were $2400 the day of the show. It kicked ass. That's the first time I've ever seen Willie.

I got a 1/2" stubout last night but the only form they carry it in at Lowe's now is almost $6. OTOH, it does make a nice handle for the stubout. Angelique

As a matter of fact I was yawning, how did you know? Sadly, that was the best of several videos. I'm heading up to Austin tomorrow for a few days. Hope to learn some cool stuff while I'm up there.

I lined this out and left it in Austin with some friends. They haven't used it yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing what they make with it. If you look you can see I didn't add an even number of the Peacock over white lines. Oh well. I'm getting better at lining out tubing. I started with 38 mil heavy wall, and ended up with something in the 30 mil heavy wall range. There are 55 lines inside. I almost never end up with and even number of lines.

Nice! That would make pretty beads. MU (14 year old daughter) says, "It looks like candy!" Angelique

Good god I would hate to know how long that lined tube took to make. Is that all stringers?

Took me about an hour and a half. All stringer work, with stringers in the 2-3 mil range. It was much shorter when I lined it out. It will be pulled down even more before the reballs are made. It should provide three to four decent sized reballs, enough for a good sized piece.

really nice line work ... ga stringer? Try and post the components they make once your friends have their way with your work . Looks like they will be nice

please pardon my "newbosity", but what is a re-ball?
is that the term you use for the gather that comes off of that lined tube when it's on the end of a blow pipe?

A reball is a reversal ball. It is commonly described as a wig wag. I'm assuming reball is hollow form only, while wig wag's can also be made on solid rod.
My reball's still suck, so I don't post pictures often.
