Smile My Garage Lampwork Studio

I finally got my studio cleaned up and took some updated photos the other night.. Its in my garage and not perfect but it works for me.

My retired safety director father has a cow every time he sees the extension cords but until I can get plugs put in, its makeshift. Thanks to Hayley's help, I have a 1032 CFM Vortex inline fine with 8" ducting with my Glasscraft hood that I had to replace everything on except for the hood itself.

Hubby made the dogs their own chair out of a broken task chair. All I have to say is wanna go and they run to the garage and jump at the chair to get in.. LOL

My new used second kiln for fusing. I have an AIM 84BD for beadmaking.

Inquiring minds want to know - the PVC tubes you have your glass in, are they
in some kind of a box or did you just wrap them in tape?

LOL.. I wish I could have got my hubby to build a box.. They are just glued with an all purpose heavy duty glue and then duct taped all the way around for a little extra strength while they dry and for my peace of mind.. Its rigid PVC pipe. He made the top two out of 7 PVC pipes. It was about 30 bucks with the glue and duct tape.

Yah.. Don't smoke or drink, gotta have some vice..

The dogs love their chair. If I had them on the ground, they would be out the garage door.. Leave them inside and they would bark like crazy to get out to me.

the hanging press holder is from Ikea.. I think its part of their kitchen rail system. Picked it up at a yard sale. If I ever get over to Orlando, I am gonna have to pick another up. It holds presses as wide as the standard cattwalk presses and just hangs on the chrome shelf.

Such envy for all the frit! I wish i could have my puppies with me while working but alas they are terrified of the basement(where my studio is set up) My kitties sometimes visit me down there but i always have to shoo them away. Dont want them burning themselves!
