Default Enamel on boro?

Can I use enamel for soft glass on boro, or are there enamel products exclusively for hard glass?
thanks

It looks like no on both, as much as I can see.

I also seem to remember something about not fusing or slumping boro due to devit? Can't remember exactly, but for some (really good) reason I think it's just not done.

Enamels have a specific COE to them (I believe Thompsons are 104)
and are not compatible with boro.

I've gotten around this SORT of, by using powdered boro.
I can get lots of the same effects.

USE A MASK! You do NOT want to be sucking powdered glass
into your lungs.

Thompson makes different ones for different things. Some for metals, some for moretti, some for bullseye. I just didn't see any for boro.

Karen,

I have some powdered boro, I am having a hard time using it, when I use it to back a pendant it is "clumpy" and sticks together. I tried to use it like fine frit or 104 enamel, I scooped some out onto a marver and tapped the marver so it was fairly flat, then pushed my pendant back into the powder.

Is there a secret? I just tried it yesterday, so today I thought I would use a sifter and sift an even layer onto a marver and see if that works better.
