Default OG-15 Question

Anyone here with an OG-15 and holding tank? I have a question for you.

Typically, I turn it on and the compressor is running. It fills up the tank. Then, typically, when the tank is full the compressor cuts off, and you hear this "Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" sound for several seconds.

Right now, when I turn it on, the compressor is running AND it's making the Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound continuously. WTH?

I am hoping it's just the pressure switch.

Just wondered if anyone else has had this issue.

Are you talking about the OGSI-15? I have 2 and have only heard that when I had a leak.

Where was the leak and how did you locate it?

I don't have one Tink but you might try mixing up some dish soap and water in a spray bottle and mist where you think it may be coming from and look for bubbles. Of course needless to say don't spray it on anything electronic.

The "Shhhhhhhhhhhhh" sound is in the unit itself, not from an external hose. It sounds like the regular (post tank fill) Shhhhh sound, and like it's coming from the same spot. Part of me wonders if maybe it's the shutoff switch that tells the unit the tank is full and that it should shut down the compressor.

I've emailed OSGI, but if I don't hear from them by the time I get up tomorrow, I will probably disconnect the tank and see what happens.

Well, it's apparently something with the valve block. Now I need to figure out how to get it off so I can clean it and see if that helps.

Ack.
