Windsong.....it's one wrap around the center.
When you reach the beginning of your twistie do not melt off the end.
To get a nice crossover cut it off with a nipper.

Kristin......the 4 stripes should be of one color, either White/Ivory or a silver glass like Triton/Gaia.
Of course you can put on 6 or 8 stripes. But the finished bead will have very thin and subtle stripes.
The reshaping into a cylinder will straighten out the twisted lines.
It looks like this:

Oh, and don't be fooled if you can't see white stripes while your bead is still hot. They become visible when the bead cools off.

so, that last bead for example, it relies on the core color for the color, and then has a clear twisty with one color such as white or ivory, wrapped around it, and then encased?
