Other than those & Frantz, it's pretty much "import your own" I'd think, right? Unless you want Lauscha--then you'd have to see Reenie, Paula or Grace in Canada--they import most of the Lauscha in North America as far as I know.
(and not to be rude...but....why is your "friend with the bead shop" not joining the forum & doing some research on their own--after all, we ARE a BEAD forum....and there's loads of advertising here from GLASS VENDORS....most of whom advertise in BEAD magazines...I know as a jewelry designer I've spent the last 20+ years searching out most of my own "vendors" for supplies I use, and I'm *really* small scale as a business/designer--I can't imagine having a brick & mortar STORE & not doing my own research!)

Oh yea. I've used them a couple of times for rods or frits I wanted to get. I've never had a problem with them.

She uses Ed Hoy, Frantz and delphi. I just thought I'd see if I could find even more options for her.

CRLoo charged me a $10 boxing fee per box that ate up any savings I made by purchasing bulk through them. They didn't tell me about the fee when I called in my order. I'll never buy from them again.

Well, the lady I sometimes make beads for has had a bead shop for years. She's sooooo technologically challenged. As in, scared to death of the computer. Not all of us bead maker/sellers/wholesalers have been willing or able to come into the 21st century. Just MHO.

If you're going to be a VENDOR & you're going to COMPETE with other VENDORS, it's probably not the best idea to ask/expect those same VENDORS (ie: the competition) to simply give up their sources--which is essentially what the original poster did.
I apologize if I've offended the delicate sensibilities of anyone on the board by pointing out that perhaps it's not the most polite thing to do--asking "how do I/how does my friend buy stuff CHEAPER than what everyone here is selling it for", but really, one would think that after the many discussions about "customers" standing in "our" booths & announcing that they can "buy the beads cheaper at Walmart", that asking "where do you buy your product wholesale" of OUR VENDORS is essentially THE SAME DAMN THING!!!
It's up to every vendor to do their OWN research--not to ask for free information out in open forums where it will be posted for every search-engine to grab it & every hobbiest in the world to pick up & run with it for yet another ebay or etsy shop!
