really, I'll give it a try, mine seem like they're *too uneven. The sharp point is higher for example. If not I'll try bending it some.
I've been trying to clean my torch area so haven't gotten to it yet haha

I've been using one of these for about a year. I straightened the end and filed the tips to meet and not overlap. It does work great and will make smaller holes than any other tool I've used

Do you mean overlap by lay next to each other, or when closed one end sticks out over the other? I thought you meant when closed the one end sticks out over the other.

When they are closed they lay next to each other but when opened they meet each other equally.

I got the ones on ebay. My thought to use them was to bring the points together not close them, that's what I thought you meant. When I first closed mine and an end stuck out I thought sugar, it overlaps but when I loosened the notch it laid flush with the other one.
