Default Suggestions for black/white frit source?

Hello all,

I have a couple of threads in the Garage Sale seeking some black/white frit blends, but I thought I would try here as well

I have a special order for some earrings and I was planning on using my Spiral Dance Zebra frit, but I don't have enough. Does anyone know of any other suppliers that sell a black/white frit blend?

Thanks so much,
Danelle

Shoot, honey. Make your own. Melt the end of an intense black rod into a ball. Flatten it into a thin paddle. Get it a bit hot again.....not to the point of melting it.....just to warm it up after chilling it by making it into a paddle. Plunge the paddle part into a glass of ice water. Voila! Frit! Do the same with a white rod. Use intense black because regular black tends to look rather purple as frit.
Just pour the water off then and drain on a paper towel.

Hi Carolyn,

I may have to do just that, but I was hoping to find a blend similar to my Zebra frit that has 2 different white colors in it. I just wish I knew what the 2 colors are!

There's only so many whites out there. Maybe you have it. Try making some frit with your whites and see if it matches. Good luck! Wish I could tell you where to look for it, but I usually only buy blends from Val Cox.

GG glass has a frit with black and white called, Granite. Perhaps that would work? Here's the link:http://ggglass.com/catalog.php?item=...Fcategory%3D16

Good luck!
