Default Canon Camera Problem

I have a powershot S1 IS when I went to turn my camera on my LCD screen has a blue and purple wavey lines you see no picture! All other functions are working I just don't have a picture just all wavey! What could be my problem? Is my LCD screen shot maybe need a new one? Niya

My camera is a 2004 model and it will cost about 160.00 to fix. So for not so much more money I can buy a hell of a camera with way more features and just a way better camera. The camera shops say the new canon to buy is the canon SX-30 IS has a macro setting and three macro lens just a supper close up camera. It has a 35x optical zoom 14.1 mega pexels. This is supposed to be a awsome camera. I think I will just buy a new one. I may have my old one fixed I am not sure yet. Niya

My Canon DSLR's LCD screen died it will cost 260.00 to get it fixed, I can buy a newer body for another 140.00 (if I ever get caught up)
