Question Bulk tank question

Okay. This may be a dumb question. But can a Propane tank be used for Propaline? I have several 30/40lb tanks for my travel trailer I could use if they will fill them.
Mike, Dale, anyone....Please Help !!!

Bob

Glass can be a Solid, Glass can be a Liquid, But Glass should always be a GAS!

Yes Propylene tanks and Propane tanks are manufactured to same standards....

BUT you may find it difficult to get your tanks filled.... Most gas distributors usually exchange tanks with "specialty" gases like Propylene and MAPP...

The also are not know to fill tanks brough it with unknown historys or content. So local gas distribuitor may refuse to fill your tanks.

So you may still have several empty tanks around...

Typically a distributor will require a purge and "wash" before filling a tank, and then specialty marking on the tank to indicate its contents.

I would personally suggest you get a new tank just for propalyne and use your others for propane, just to avoid the hassle factor.
