Who has made encased florals with bullseye?
I have a small stash of BE that's been sitting here for a long time. I have tried to make encased florals (my favorite bead to make) a few times and always end up losing the flowers because many of the colors I have are pretty translucent. It's been a long time since then and the BE color line has grown hugely since then, which is making me consider getting some more and really giving it a go.
If you've successfully made encased florals and have some tips to share I would love to hear them. Pictures would be awesome too.
Thanks!

They do have a new more opaque white out, and it's a nice petal base. Another tip I have is to use a non-white opaque as the base for your petal... for instance, opaque turquoise for your blue flowers, opaque pink for your pink flowers, etc.
I also like french vanilla for a lot of flower colors, but since it's reactive you have to choose carefully. It's great as a base for o range and red petals.
I love Bullseye for encased florals because their clear is so nice, so IMO it's worth another try.

Thanks a bunch Kalera,
Lovely beads, as always. That lentil is really cool.
I suspect I will be placing an order from you soon.
Your new odds are calling to me.

While not petals, these are layered, and one set is poked/plunged.
In this set, I did what Kalera said, and layered with an opaque/transparent to keep more definition between the colors.

I have started using bullseye for florals recently and love using either 0013 opaque white or french vanilla for petals. I find that if I melt the petals quite slowly they mantain their opacity better.
Both of these are Bullseye, I hope they show up OK.

Michelle Bousky makes some incredible florals
using bullseye.

They are simply to die for (I own a set, and they are gorgeous).
She was nice enough to put together a tutorial on how to make
these!

I do encased BE florals, am currently working on floral cabs ... basically the same thing. Sharon is right, if you heat them in slowly you will have a crisper edge. Don't let the base bead heat up too much, concentrate the heat on the petals and then take it out of the flame and let them cool. Just keep going back and forth until they are finally flat. The new white made a drastic difference compared to the old. I agree with Kalera that French Vanilla makes great petals but it does react with blues and pinks especially.
Kalera ... just LOVE that second bead!

What Kalera said.
I use opaque white instead of French Vanilla.

Thanks, doll!
Bridgetown belongs to Breezy now though... I sold it to her and Loric, and I just make beads these days.

Wow, thanks every one for your tips and for showing your lovely beads.
Karen, I had totally forgotten that Michelle uses BE.
Kalera, I didn't know that. It's really been a long time since I've been able to purchase glass. I'll be making a purchase with Breezy then.
You just keep making those yummy beads. (love your geodes!)

Did you get a chance to play with the BE yet?
Thought I'd post a pic of another example of BE encased flowers. Sorry for crappy background.
