That was fantastic - thank you so much for sharing and translating into English. I have just started some flowers like this, and your tutorial will be a great help.

Thanks so much for the video. I use a hothead torch and have tried a mixed fuel, but never had it explained to me. With your video I learned more about how to use a mixed fuel torch and will try again. I think your torch is pretty cool with that easy rider!

Vielen dank!

Mona

Thanks for the video and you did a great job explaining everything. I have never done or seen anyone do that kind of encasing before, though I have heard about it. My palms got sweaty just watching you juggle that big ol blob of hot clear.

I went downstairs and started making a bead that didn't go as planned so I grabbed a scrap rod of clear and tried to encase like you did. It worked beautifully! I just wish my bead hadn't been ugly to start with. Lol!!! I will be trying it again!
Thank you! Seeing a technique really makes all the difference.

Hello from Gert

Oh what nice replies! Thank you!

For your questions to the torch, I will tell you, that we are beadmakers at the first. Developping the Isiheat torch has been a crazy idea from me as to that time we had only one torch and always I had to fight with Isi who of us may use it

As the result was a very new experience to work softglas with a glassblower torch, people startet to buy the Isiheat (which was designed for Isi). We are not really the experts in selling tools (my passion is to invent things for the dayly live)

But even this week, we sent a torch to US (I think Malcolm will be also a member of LE) to check if it runs with your preasure regulators too (as we have low preasure for the torch to use natural gas and propane). I will keep you informed about the results - if anybody wants to know it

@Henrywashere, please send me you mail adress to contact you directly.

As we got so nice replies, we made a second video. It will take some time to translate but i promise to do that. As Isi makes mostly bigger beads, she developped some alternate techniques as usually in the books is written - you will see that.

Warm Regards from Germany
Gert

Yes, I'm here. I will let everyone here know when I receive the torch. I'm looking forward to playing with it too

GREAT tutorial! I really enjoyed watching you do the encasing like that.. I've only read about it (and seen static pictures of it) in books, it was very cool to see it done "live". I also like the trick on how to get the clear to cover the entire bead...

I was re-watching your videos and found this thread about the Torch.
Wondering whatever happened Malcolm testing it out?
How did it go and how does the torch work?

Thanks....Valerie

Unfortunately, DHL lost the box . Gert is going to be visiting the States in late July / early August, and I'll be meeting up with him then. Hopefully, I'll get to play with the torch then.

I did not realize that the thread was old. I struggle with encasing and that really helped to see it the way you do it. I can't wait to try.
I also would like to hear more info on the torch
