AHHHHH!!! it looks like so many different glasses, like the ones you are all mentioning. I have rods of different glass, that look exactly like the beads. Why do they do this to us?

I have not ordered any yet... I am at a loss for words. Some of the violet has blue spots in it, some from the very same batch does not. The original beads I posted have no blue spots at all. Some of the violet I have turns muddy and the edges get a dark haze to them, not pretty. So I am still trying different kinds. I paid shipping and Frantz sent me some samples so I am still working to get those done.

I will post as soon as I am sure. This is crazy! All these different names, and similar colors with different reactions. Who has time! lol

The haze is probably from too much propane in your flame — violets will do that. It may soak off in coke (regular).

Ok, thank you for the tip! I will try it. Will Pepsi work? I'm not into Coke.

Oops, I did a quick test and forgot to post it. This is my Effetre 273 New Violet test bead. I should have taken more care, just did a quickie but you can see the color anyway.

Yes! I think that's the color. I still need to do more testing... been a little tied up. Well, not really tied up, but you know what I mean.

Thank you for sharing.
