Default Glasses - Newbie Asks...

I wear contact lenses and must use reading glasses for fine work. Can a normal optician prescribe these didymium glasses in reading strength or is there a supplier where you can buy them in reading strengths, i.e., +1.5, +2.0, +2.5, etc.?

I hate to spend the money to go to an optician if I can find them with a supplier in normal strengths.

Thanks!
Gail

Why don't you just get some Opt x 20/20 lenses and stick them to you didy's? (Stick on lenses to make any glasses reading glasses) I have them in 2X that I purchased for something else (tiny painting) and they work great. They go up to 3X and they're $9.99 at Walgreen's.

Default Hi Shawnette!

Thanks for that info...
I should see if my friend in Illinois can check Walgreen's for those. I live in Germany so some of this stuff is hard for me to find or search out.

They are called Opt x 20/20? They just "clip on"?

Thanks!

I just received prescription [bi-focal] goggles from Auralens - perfect prescription and the most comfortable glasses I have ever worn. Barb

Default Thanks Everyone!

I am going to have my friend pick up a couple pairs (different strengths) for me. I really appreciate all of your help with this!

Hugs...Gail
