Question Boro thimbles?

Has anyone here made boro thimbles from these mandrels? http://www.arrowsprings.com/html/mandrels_tubes.html
Can anyone here think of a reason why it wouldn't work?
Thanks!
Pics would be informative and inspirational, if you got 'em.

I can't think of any reason that it wouldn't work. Give it a try and let us know.

We actually made three thimbles out of borrow on these very mandrels.

I will try and dig in the archives and find a picture or two

Autocorrect or voice to text? Thanks for the chuckle!

I'm also interested in seeing the pix.

Default boro thimbles

You will need to be more careful with your flame angle and try not to heat your bead release too much with boro on these mandrels. Other than that, there is really no difference from making beads with boro on mandrels.

It was voice to text, I am working with a new dictation program and it is faster than me to post before I could complete the corrections/training.

I am looking for the photos right now.

They must be in here somewhere.

Yes, I made one with Red Elvis as a test for my Cricket + M15. Worked like a charm. I even found my bead release didn't stick to the boro like it does to the 104... that was a plus.
